Emergency Preparedness – I wrote about this is my last newsletter and I hope you read it and did things to be prepared for disasters. The recent flooding in Texas and other states shows how quickly disaster can strike. Flooding is ongoing in several states today. We’ve had a lot of tornadoes across the country too and we are just starting hurricane season which can impact states far inland. Know what you need to grab if you have to evacuate. Meds, electronics, important papers, pets, etc.

Love Baxter -There is a new website called: https://LoveBaxter.com  This website is dedicated to Baxter who passed away. Baxter’s owner was frustrated by the lack of services and counseling available when faced with losing a pet. That is why he built the site. I will be listing on the site soon as well as contributing several blogs to help people when dealing with the loss of a pet.

Scents and Pets – Many scents such as plug-ins, diffusers, essential oils and even softeners and cleaners are toxic to pets. If your pets have been having health issues and your veterinarian is stumped, get rid of all of your plug-ins, diffusers and essential oils. The exception is Feliway which is calming scents for cats.

Toxic Chemicals for Pets – Many cleaners contain chemicals which are toxic to pets. Even walking on a damp floor and then licking their paws can cause serious illness. Stay away from formulas that contain: Ammonia, bleach, phenol, chlorine, Phthalates, glycol ethers, formaldehyde, essential oils, tea tree oil, eucalyptus, lavender and even fabric softeners (harmful if pets lay on the fabrics). Vinegar and water seem to be one of the safest formulas for cleaning where pets will come in contact with the surfaces.

Keeping Horses Cool – Gawd it’s hot. We’re creeping close to triple digits but thankfully not there. I feel so happy that my horses have fans with misters on them. They end up soaking wet from standing right under the misters. The only downside is that I have to reapply fly spray since it is water soluble. I was taught to always scrape off a horse that has been hosed down. Otherwise, the water would hold in the heat. New research has demonstrated that this is not the case. You can hose your horses off and leave them be. The only thing that I noticed when doing this is that the horses seem irritated if there are drips coming off their bellies. Also, NEVER spray your horse in the face. If they get water in their ears, they can get yeast infections which are a bitch to treat. Use a wet hand towel to rub them all over their head. They love this and will even rub on the towel if you just hold it still.

Help With Videos – I am starting to put together video clips and would love your feedback on what social media you watch the most. I have only posted videos on Facebook and YouTube, so I have no frame of reference for other sites. Your opinions are valuable to me so please email me and let me know what is the most watched. FOURTH OF JULY AND PETS: NOW is the time to contact your veterinarian to get drugs for the 4th of July if your animals hate the fireworks. Don’t wait. Some vets will suggest using Benadryl to just knock them out, but I prefer Hydroxyzine since it is anti-anxiety. Hydroxyzine can also be given to horses, and I have gotten the powdered formula from Chewy. Double and triple check your fences. Don’t leave your pets outside and for goodness’ sake, do NOT take your dogs to SEE the fireworks. The best thing is to stay home with your pets and watch the fireworks on TV. I have had clients whose dogs busted through a huge living room window, broke through a screen door, chewed their way through a wooden door, etc. and they all got lost. No one would ever have thought that these pets would have been able to get out, but they all did. The day after the 4th is one of my busiest days looking for lost pets. I would love to not have to do any lost pet readings.

EMERGENCY PREPARDNESS – Summer is the time for lots of natural disasters. We have already seen so many tornadoes this spring. Fires are raging in Canada. We get them here often too. Floods, hurricanes and more are common. Get with your family and develop an emergency preparedness plan. If you have to evacuate, make sure you take your animals and their needed supplies with you. Never leave your pets behind. Make sure you have everyone’s medications. It is helpful to have a list of what you need to pack if you have to leave. It makes packing easier. Plastic waterproof containers keep everything safe and dry. There are lots of websites that can help you to plan. Make sure you have important documents too such as your insurance contact and access to your medical records, most of which you can obtain online.

It is important for overall healing to take your power back. Write letters to anyone and everyone who has taken your power. Then burn the letters while you say out loud, “No one is ever going to treat me like that again!” You may be surprised at what comes out on the paper and how much lighter you feel when you are done. Find your inner child within you. Ask them to come up into your heart so you can give them unconditional love and protect them. It is so healing to do this. BRAIN DEAD/COMA COMMUNICATION – I hope none of you are ever in the position of having to disconnect life support or make the decision about having your loved one become an organ donor. There is new evidence that even when a person has been determined to be brain dead, they are exhibiting signs of reflex and even responses. If they are brain dead, then why do they anesthetize them before they harvest the organs? If you ever get in this situation, please call me to double check on them. It is essentially coma communication which I do all the time. And by all means, get a referral from me for energy healing since I have had clients in this position where they made a complete recovery.

RECORDING YOUR READINGS – I have always allowed you to record your readings because I know how helpful it is to relisten to your reading to make sure you haven’t missed anything. That has to stop (unless you have been a long-time client, and I KNOW you.) Someone (a first timer) recorded their reading and then using A.I., used my voice but not my words to make me sound like an uncaring idiot and it is posted on YouTube. I am now rethinking doing my own voice on my audio books for this reason. Luckily, a few of my clients heard it and came to the conclusion that it was A.I. and not real.

GIFT CERTIFICATES – Graduations, weddings and other celebrations are starting to happen. A reading might just be the thing to help someone make life-changing decisions. The only readings I will not do are predictions and police work. Everything else goes. WEBSITE READING APPOINTMENTS – After lots of starts and stops, the website reading scheduling is now functioning perfectly. We went with Calendly for scheduling. You can pick your day and time, pay and then fill out the form so I have your name and number in an e mail. I will always e mail you back to confirm. There is a 15-minute prior cut-off so if you are trying to schedule last minute, please email me or text me to see if it is available. I can still do scheduling by text or e mail if necessary. NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES FROM FLEAS: I am always learning and I recently read an article that shared how fleas can spread Bartonella and Babesia and there can be co-infections with Lymes disease. The big difference seems to be the neurological effects caused by Bartonella and Babesia. Some call Bartonella “cat-scratch fever,” but you don’t have to get scratched by a cat to have this disease. They are very challenging to diagnose so if you ever have an undiagnosed illness with neurological issues, be sure to mention it so you can be tested for them. The message is to make sure that your cats are treated effectively for fleas if you have fleas in your area.

LOST PETS – Many of you have contacted me to help locate lost pets. While I love helping, I would like to never have to locate a lost pet again because they are all safe.  The first rule is to never let your cats out and never leave your dogs out unsupervised unless they are huge and can’t get out of the fencing. I could write volumes on the dangers cats face if they are left out. Small dogs should never be left out without being on a leash. The owls and eagles can get them as well as coyotes. Many people steal dogs and hold them for ransom so that is a danger too. If they get lost, you want to plaster your local area with posters. Posters should always say, “Reward, needs medication and special diet.” No one wants vet bills so they may be willing to return them if they see the posters. I can usually determine if they are still alive, what direction they went in, whether or not someone is caring for them and I also get Guidance on what else you need to do in order to get them back. If you lose your pet, schedule a reading right away.

UNDIAGNOSED PAIN IN HORSES – We need our allopathic veterinarians. They do great work. But, when checking horses for pain, they often look at hoof to elbow, hoof to stifle and they are done. That leaves 95% of the horse that they don’t evaluate. Horses are designed by nature to graze and run from predators. That’s it. So if we are going to ride them and do all the fun crazy things that we do with them, they MUST have regular chiropractic and Acuscope/Equiscope (microcurrent therapy). Since they are a prey animal, if they are in pain, it makes them unpredictable, spooky, grumpy, resistant to work and a host of other behavioral problems. Chiropractic gets the bones back in alignment and the Acuscope helps with soft tissue problems. In 35 years, I have not found another way of keeping them comfortable. Make sure your Acuscope person gets the underside, meaning pecs and adductors.

SPRING VET APPOINTMENT – If you are thinking of scheduling a reading soon, please do it right away. This next Thursday is my spring vet appointment which means teeth floating for the horses, vaccinations, chiropractic for the horses and dogs and who knows what else. So I won’t have to change my name to Ben Dover, it would be great to be extremely busy until Thursday when I have to pay a huge vet bill. I pay it gladly because I love my holistic vet but it’s a lot. Thanks ahead of time to all of you who schedule, and this goes for all the time, not just when I have a vet bill.

Lots of great information to keep you and your animals safe and healthy with the change of seasons.

HORSE BLANKETS

If you haven’t already, it’s a great time to get all your horse blankets washed and sprayed with silicone spray to insure they are waterproof for the wet season. We have a washing machine with no agitator so they wash easily and we hang them out to dry. Once they are dry, we put them across ladders and spray them with waterproofing. Even though they are nylon and should be waterproof already, we make sure they get an extra coating, especially with the weird, really wet winter we had last year. I have old and infirm horses so they need the blankets. Many horses don’t.

DOG COATS

Even though our new puppies will probably go outside to the small backyard whenever they want due to our doggie door, when we are going to stay out on the acreage for longer periods to take care of the horses, we will put waterproof coats on them. We’re not worried about them getting cold. It just makes drying them off when they come in a lot easier. I suggest this for any breeds whose coats can hold a substantial amount of moisture. I will probably need a tarp for the bed for when they get the zoomies.

DOG REINCARNATION

I am a firm believer that we stay connected to our loved ones, both human and animal through many lifetimes. This is physics. You cannot destroy energy (souls, spirits) but it can be changed. We recently got two puppies – one is 17 months and the other is 7 months. It is interesting to watch them change and without any encouragement from us, they are taking on traits of the dogs we have lost. The amazing thing is how much joy they bring with their silly antics. I have only had old dogs (teenagers) for the past three to five years so this craziness is wonderful. It really heals your heart. My wonderful friend Ranelle who helped us get these dogs told both of them, “You have hit the lottery.” I think we have.

WHAT HAPPENS TO OUTDOOR AND INDOOR/OUTDOOR CATS

I will only do lost cat readings on indoor cats that have escaped. The reason is that if I help find the cat and get it back home, the owners will just let it out again. Building a cat house or catio is the solution. These are just a few of the things that can befall a cat that gets let out: being hit by a car, being stolen, getting lost, death caused by cats, dogs, skunks, coyotes, foxes, bears, raccoons, rain, snow, very hot or very cold weather, being mistreated or abused by strangers, getting shot, FIV, FELV, FIP, infections, sickness, disease, injuries, animal traps, rat poison, antifreeze, rock salt, fleas, ticks, worms, getting their collar caught, ringworm. I should add being picked up by predatory birds as I have clients that this has happened to.

MEDIUMSHIP GONE WRONG

Many professional, even TV mediums do not understand the physics of this work. Once a soul has left a physical body behind, all of their negativity (pain, suffering, unfinished business, regrets, anger, lack of forgiveness, etc.) gets left behind in the Earthly realm. It is not a vibrational match to Source/God so it cannot go with them to the other side. But, it looks like, feels like and seems like the deceased so mediums who do not have discernment, can share information from this shed-off negative garbage as if it is coming from the deceased. When they do this, they are dumpster diving. You will NEVER get anything negative from an animal or human on the other side. Please remember this. And they just love us. They cannot help us either because they cannot perceive anything negative in the Earthly realm. They do not become our guardian angels or Guides either.

ENERGY HEALING

I can’t share this enough. We are 99% energy and only 1% physical yet all of allopathic medicine is focused on the 1%. My friend Temma Hammond included me in her recent film which compares modern cowgirls to the cowgirls of old via film. I have a few shots in there of my horse Artie bowing and Duchess giving me a slime facial. HEALING GRIEF

I did a post on Facebook that I am sharing here after I saw a post that scolded people for criticizing someone who grieves too long. Grief needs to be managed. If you allow yourself to grieve too long, it can impact your health. Here it is: Unresolved grief can KILL you. We are 99% energy and only 1% physical. Disease is issues in the tissues caused by unresolved negative emotions. When you hold onto grief, mistakenly believing that it keeps you closer to the loved ones you have lost, you are pumping negative energy into your cells. Cells respond to emotions. Unresolved grief causes breast cancer, heart disease, lung cancer, pneumonia, bronchitis. midback issues, etc. It can impact all of the organs in the heart chakra. Energy healing is free, and you can learn to do it yourself. HEALING POWER OF ANIMALS

We all know that animals can help us to heal. I am looking for stories of how animals have helped you to heal. Please email them to me if you want to participate. While animals have helped me throughout my life, I think the biggest healing instance for me is that horses kept me straight. I had a very messed up childhood which should have turned me into an alcoholic, drug addict hooker. The need to have horses made me stay alcohol free, hardworking, maintaining a job and income, all so that I could have horses. This is the type of story that I am looking for. Email me your story.

FIRST FROST OF THE SEASON

Here in northwestern Nevada, we are disconnecting hoses, turning the heaters on in the automatic waterers, making sure the heater is on in the pump house and all of the other chores that need to be done before winter. The horses’ blankets have been washed and water-proofed and they are ready to go when needed. b Be sure to check around your place to make sure you are winterized and ready for a cold, snowy season.

FEE REDUCTION

I have made the decision to reverse the increase in my fees due to many, many complaints. I am so sorry that things are so bad for so many that even a 5- or 10-dollar difference has prevented you from booking an appointment for a reading. My heart breaks that things are so dire for so many. So, I will take the hit and absorb all of the increases in fees that I am shouldering. My web page has already been changed to reflect the old amounts of $50/$90. I wish for abundance for all of you.

CARING FOR FERAL OR BARN CATS

You all know my opinion on leaving cats outside but there are many reasons why this is the only option for many. If you build any kind of cat house enclosures for outdoor cats, DO NOT USE ANY FABRIC LIKE BLANKETS. Only use straw. The reason is that the blankets can become wet and then the cats freeze to them and die. You can always get straw at your local feed store. It is absorbent and keeps the cats warm and dry.

COYOTE PROOF FENCING

Please remember that predators become hungrier this time of year and will catch and eat anything that doesn’t move fast enough. They can also scale 8-foot concrete block fences. They will take small dogs, cats and even birds. They have been known to kill dogs to eliminate perceived competition. If your dogs go off leash on trails, make sure they have an iron-clad recall. One coyote will get the dog to chase it and then the pack will jump it. You can install coyote rollers which are PVC pipes installed on a cable with a large diameter pipe over a smaller diameter pipe which is strung on the cable. They can’t get a grip to get over the fence. Installing several strands of wide electric tape which is attached to a solar charger at the top and bottom of the fence works good too.

GUIDANCE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Don’t go into debt trying to show people how much you love them with gifts. Spend quality time with them instead. Don’t visit your family if they are toxic to where it compromises your mental health. Family is NOT everything. If someone comments on your weight, eat them.

DOG ILLNESS

There is a disease that is going around that is making dogs very sick, and, in some cases, they are dying. Watch for lethargy first. Coughing is a symptom. Nasal and eye discharge are symptoms too.  As soon as you see any of these symptoms, take your dog to the veterinarian. Don’t wait. They now know how to treat it, even if they don’t yet know what it is. It can cause pneumonia in 2 days, and it is better to be safe than sorry. Stay away from doggie daycares, parks, dog parks, etc. as there isn’t any knowledge on how it is spread yet.

VOLTAREN

This is a great topical ointment to treat arthritic joints. This is the brand name, but it does come in generic brands too, labeled as Diclofenac. If you use it, DO NOT LET DOGS LICK IT OFF. It can make them sick and even kill them. If you have horses, it is labeled as Surpass Gel so if you have tolerant horses, a dog could lick it off of them. If you buy Surpass, stop it. You are paying 5 times the price for the same exact thing as the generic Diclofenac which you can get in any pharmacy.

CHRISTMAS DANGERS FOR PETS

There are many dangers for our pets this season. Whatever you do, do not buy rawhide Christmas presents for your dogs. They are not digested and can lead to surgery to have them removed. Collagen chews are okay. If you have a live tree, don’t put anything in the water that the tree is sitting in. Cats love to play with tinsel, but they will eat it and it can cause bowel obstructions. Glass ornaments will break and can cut your pets. Your tree will look great without these things. Be careful with foods this holiday season. There are many foods that are fine for us that are toxic to dogs such as raisins, grapes, chocolate, onions, etc. They can also get pancreatitis from eating fatty foods like ham. I want all of you to have happy, healthy holidays, including your pets.

If you know a family that is struggling this Christmas, why not pay their electric bill or get them a gift card for groceries, pay their cell bill or buy them a gas card? These gifts will be much more appreciated than a new sweater or gloves.

SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES AND CHURCHES

If you are struggling with finding food this holiday season, there are agencies and churches that will help. Many LDS Churches have food pantries that can give you food even if you are not a member. A lot of other churches do food drives and give away the food that is collected. Check with your Community Services Agency to find out where you can get free food. If you are having trouble with rent, the Rural Housing Authority can provide up to $3,000. In rental assistance if you are threatened with eviction. The utility companies also have ways of helping if you are having trouble with paying utilities, especially for veterans and disabled people. There is no shame in asking. Everyone goes through rough patches.

GIFTS OF KNOWLEDGE AND PEACE

I am so honored when I do a reading for someone who is struggling with loss, and they share with me that I have given them peace. What price can you put on that? I will be working throughout the holidays as I love my work. Group readings are a great way to connect to those you have lost so everyone can participate through Skype, Facetime or Zoom. I do have gift certificates for hour and half hour readings that I can send as an e mail or through snail mail. I also have books that teach anyone how to develop their own intuitive abilities as well as training sessions that make great gifts. These are all on my website.
